gay marriage ban
02.28.04 (11:26 am)   [edit]
Speaking on condition of anonymity (heh heh, yeah, like I'm really anonymous;)), and also speaking scientifically about DNA, I think that every step should be taken to ensure the diversity of the human species in its' evolution. When x and y (something or another) and plain xx (without y) merge it forms a new human. When xx and xx trys to merge, it does not form a new human. When xy and xy try to merge, it does not form a new human. Hence, I conclude that in order to form new humans, we need to ensure the xy and xx chromosone come together to from new humans. If there existed nothing but xx and xx unions and yy and yy unions, humans would cease to exist in roughly 100 years. End of story. :)

I guess a real question to be asked is, can guys carry a child in a womb and breast feed and can girls produce sperm?

So in the course of talking about multiple combinations of chromsones the question to be asked is who produces what?

Network Centric computing

Maybe people should consider breaking their computers in parts and use them. It seems people can't understand that not all of it has to be upgraded at once.

Technological catchup, like whaaaa?
02.24.04 (8:51 am)   [edit]
When companies are trying to implement technology that's been implemented today and will be out of favor in like 4 years, how the heck do you train people and give 'em a degree? Manufacturing societies had structures that stuck for years but "hey people!" we're living in Moores Law after the fast food craze and there's really no way to keep up. I mean seriously. Think about it. I'm writing software to upgrade the software you're using which you haven't got yet but will when I'm finished and from it, next year or maybe tommorrow, it's going to be upgraded and it keeps going.

Teach that! ;)

unpatriotic corporations
02.23.04 (10:48 am)   [edit]
Ralph Nader ((even though like whoa! 1000:1) :)) makes a really good point about corporations passing out jobs to other countries while neglecting their responsibilities to their own country. I'm all for helping out 3rd world nations to a good degree but hey: The world contains 6 billion people, the US has 270 million. We couldn't possibly give everybody a job without seriously undermining everthing about our infrastructure. I think when you give away tech jobs, you also give away the high technology. Wasn't there an incident of some country taking the high speed gaming console chips to make better targeted missles?

The US benelovents sometimes border on altruism when it comes to helping others financially. I'd really like to see the corporation consider that maybe, altruism could be their own undoing.

What if everyone had a degree?
02.10.04 (8:25 am)   [edit]
If everyone had a degree. That means everyone is fully qualified to work at whatever job is in their field. Okay. That would mean science would progress a little farther and the things we could teach to our children would become a little more advanced.

What if the US was this advanced? Then the world would not understand our technology and there would probaly be only insourcing do to the high curve of the technology and the education involved in getting which means our products would be too expensive and it would be close to impossible to devalue our currency to a point where someone would reasonably say that that stuff you made that is that advance couldn't possibly be that cheap.

So keep people stupid to a degree balances out things?

Universe getting colder?
02.09.04 (5:46 pm)   [edit]
If molecules move from H to L (higher to lower) concentrations (2nd Law of Thermodymanics), is the universe getting colder and will we need a jack et and is dark matter speeding up this process?

:p

Hacking the Human OS

Anybody has source code for humans? If so, does anybody know how to run software for an eye, mines need debugging. I think I have a virus or something.

I'm sitting typing away and found that the ability to look at the Mars rover in 3D is pretty fricken wild. I'm just waiting for my satelite uplink to work where I can hack their encryption and drive it myself :) he, he.

If you took a brain and sent it from 10% to 100% machine while the person is stil conscious, is he still human?
